Windwater Hotel And Marina, South Padre Island

We had a decent stay, but there are noticeable areas for improvement. The hotel's location near the beach is definitely a plus, but the rooms need significant updating to enhance comfort. While the service was friendly and accommodating, the dining experience left much to be desired due to the small breakfast area. Overall, considering the price, it's a place that could use some TLC to bring it up to par.

The hotel has potential with its water view rooms, which provide a nice atmosphere for relaxation. However, the cleanliness of the rooms leaves much to be desired, as I found various issues including stained linens and dirty floors. While the price seemed reasonable for the area, the overall condition of the facilities made it feel less than ideal for a pleasant stay.

I had an overall good experience at this older motel, especially enjoying the spacious water view room. While the location is great for fishing and relaxing, it can get a bit crowded on the weekends with kids around. The Wi-Fi was frustratingly slow, and the need for room upgrades was apparent, but you can't beat the price for a water view.
